Science Lessons
PGLO Inquiry Lab * This lab is based off of the BioRad PGlo transformation experiment. The lab has been inverted such that the students see the results first, make observations, ask questions and then design a plating experiment off of a testable question. The activity leads them through discovering how transformation and regulated operons work. Chemistry is Everywhere This is a project in which students choose a topic of interest and relate it to chemistry. See the link for the lesson instructions. Each student was given a Google site template to create their project and connect to the main page. Lesson plan Cell-Y-Wood Project- Animal v Plant (Use of Google Drawings to embed links to videos--click on words to see videos) Individually or with ONE partner create a 2-3 minutes video (mp4 or wmv format) on an assigned organelle. You need to include 1) information on structure, 2) function and non-function (diseases or disorders) and 3)interesting facts/research about your organelle. Please include a 4) bibliography and follow all rules to avoid copy-right issues and plagiarism! Also include a 5) one page study guide for your organelle. Upload the project and study guide to this assignment. You can also upload the video and study guide to Google drive and then share the links with anyone who has a link.
